Called Again: Standing on the Side of Love in Boston this Saturday

You may have heard that there are white supremacists gathering on the Boston Common on Saturday August 19, one week after other white supremacists gathered in Charlottesville VA. UUs gathered in Charlottesville to Stand on the Side of Love. This Saturday we will do so again. Now is when we confront hate, in the form of white supremacists gatherings and the white supremacy that is in our laws, our school systems, our families, our congregations, our land. Join us in Boston!

UU Clergy, including UUA president Reverend Susan Frederick-Gray, marched in Charlottesville, VA, this Saturday.

Standing on the Side of Love, a project of the UUA, calls for UUs to join the Fight Supremacy rally this Saturday.

This Saturday, UUs will first gather with the

  • STARTING PLACE: Reggie Lewis Athletic Center, 1350 Tremont Street, Boston, MA.

  • ENDING PLACE: Boston Common, 139 Tremont Street, Boston, MA.

  • MEETING TIME: 10:00 am

The organizers of the Against Supremacy rally realize that not all supporters can make it to Boston this Saturday.

  • Talk: Use Saturday to talk and pray about the harm white supremacy causes in your congregation, community and local institutions

  • Give: Organizers of the Against Supremacy march have asked that you contribute to and ask others to donate directly to local Black and queer organizers, such as Black Lives Matter Boston. Read more on giving from Standing on the Side of Love
