UU Action NH joins New Hampshire Poor People’s Campaign: Help us with this work!

Unitarian Universalist Action New Hampshire is joining a movement of movements, the new Poor People’s Campaign. The Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. initiated the original Poor People’s Campaign fifty years ago. This campaign was broad-based, and confronted the three evils of racism, poverty and militarism. The new Poor People’s Campaign, led in part by Rev. William Barber II, takes up this legacy, while also calling us to reverse the ecological devastation of our time.

UU Action NH invites you to join us, the Manchester NAACP, the New Hampshire Council of Churches, and the Granite State Organizing Project for the following two meetings:

  • December 4, 4-6 pm. At the offices of the NH Conference, United Church of Christ, 140 Sheep Davis Road, Pembroke. This meeting is the 2018 planning meeting for New Hampshire Voices of Faith, but will include a large section on the Poor People’s Campaign.

  • December 14, 6 pm. Downstairs parish hall, at Brookside United Church of Christ, 2013 Elm Street, Manchester. Organizations that wish to join the Poor People’s Campaign are especially encouraged to join this meeting.

Please join us at either one or both of these meetings!
