Please Welcome our new Executive Director

UU Action NH is pleased to welcome Mo Baxley as our New Executive Director. Mo has been a leading progressive voice on issues of justice and equity in New Hampshire. We are indeed fortunate to welcome such a talented and visionary leader to UU Action NH.

From 2005-2011, Mo served as Executive Director of N.H. Freedom to Marry, whose dedicated efforts over many years culminated in 2009 when New Hampshire became the first U.S. state to recognize marriage equality by legislation rather than litigation.

Mo was elected to the N.H. House of Representatives in 2007-2009 and has worked as a political and labor organizer for many years. Her progressive values line up well with the Unitarian Universalist principles of justice, equity, inherent dignity and respect for all individuals, the rights of conscience and the democratic process, and respect for the interdependent web of all existence.

Mo takes over from UU Action NH’s founding executive director, Dr. Tristan Husby, who leaves to continue his career in classroom teaching. The Leadership Team thanks Tristan for his dedicated efforts in building and strengthening our organization.

We look forward to our next phase of growth and development under Mo Baxley’s leadership.
